Very dainty or delicate chains and pendants are well suited to those that are petite, whilst others might prefer something a little chunkier. It’s important that the jewellery stands out on the wearer, so consider this when shopping. Additionally, shorter chains aren’t everyone’s favourite thing. If the necklace isn’t long enough for the wearer, it can be a little uncomfortable around the neck, so make sure you choose the right chain length. Layering necklaces is on trend right now, but to make sure you choose the right combo, make sure the chain lengths vary from short to long. The stand-out necklace – whether because it’s chunkier or because it has a pendant on it – should be the longest of the selection, with one or two shorter and slightly plainer necklaces layering above it.

The Finishing Touch: Heart Earrings

Heart-shaped earrings make for the perfect jewellery for Valentine’s Day. However, we’d go for a matching set if you are looking for a heart necklace/earring combo, or you risk getting the wrong combination of heart shapes.

Alternatively, if you’ve found the perfect necklace but it doesn’t come with matching earrings, opt for a simple and plain pair of studs in a metal that matches the chosen necklace.

Find the Perfect Match with a Heart Bracelet

If you want to go the extra mile, the perfect add-on to a gorgeous heart-shaped necklace or pair of earrings is a bracelet. It doesn’t necessarily have to be the perfect match, though we’d recommend opting for the same metal colour. So, if you have opted for a silver or white gold necklace, a silver heart bracelet will finish the look off.

Match the heart bracelet to the style of the necklace or, alternatively, opt for a bangle which is also the perfect standalone jewellery staple.
